A 19 year old man, driving his brother’s car, with his brother and sister-in-law as passengers, was struck by a 15 passenger van that ran a stop sign.  He sustained a serious injury to his wrist, which was his dominant hand, and will require considerable surgery to either fuse his wrist, leaving him with no motion or he will have to have a wrist joint replacement.  Those particular joints do not last more than 10 years so he will require general subsequent surgeries.  The sister-in-law sustained significant pelvic and leg injuries.  The case settled for $1,080,000.00.
